Tulips… The Kissable Flower.

I’m not sure why I love to look at a bed of tulips.  It could be because “Tulip” means Love and Passion.  Who doesn’t love love and passion?  Oh yeah!  My ex-boyfriend.  But that’s another story.

tulipsfavIf you love tulips as much as I do you may be sad to learn that this warm-feeling inducing flower cannot be planted in the spring.  And If you are anything like me it’s “out of site out of mind.”  You don’t think of tulips till you see them starting to bloom in multicolor ecstasy as you drive past your neighbor’s yard… you know…. the neighbor who knows everything about horticulture.  The one who took the time to think ahead by planting tulip bulbs the previous fall.

So, here is a tulip tip… add a “tulip planting” event to your icalender… google calendar or whatever calendar you use to alert you.  Or subscribe to us and we will send out a reminder next fall. This way you will be reminded in October that you should prepare to plant your tulip bulbs.  Then let nature take it’s course.

Another option would be to go to whole foods or a local market and drop $15 on one tulip plant. But we at White Trash Diva have better ideas on how you should spend that money.
